As reported by Fox News, a federal law enforcement source has confirmed that agents are working to obtain a victim impact statement from the former President, a standard procedure in such cases.
On July 13, an individual ascended a building overlooking Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He managed to elude law enforcement on the ground, aimed his firearm at a police officer on the rooftop, and then proceeded to open fire.
The attack resulted in the death of 50-year-old Corey Comperatore and caused severe injuries to David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74.
Trump recounted being shot in the right ear, and images from the scene showed him with blood on the right side of his head.
This will go down as one of the most iconic photos ever. The man has just been shot, bleeding from the ear and he stops to tell the rest of us to FIGHT!

The FBI is continuing to investigate Crooks’ motivations, with FBI Director Christopher Wray providing some insights during his testimony on Capitol Hill.
He mentioned that Crooks had displayed an interest in historical presidential assassinations and had searched Google for the distance between Oswald and Kennedy on the same day he registered for the rally.
Underlining the importance of the investigation, an FBI spokesperson reiterated that the shooting was an attempted assassination of Trump, resulting in his injury, as well as the death of a father and injuries to other victims.
Furthermore, the FBI’s Shooting Reconstruction Team is analyzing evidence from the scene, including bullet fragments, as the investigation moves forward.
