Florida Governor Ron DeSantis blasted President Joe Biden’s plan to have student loan debt paid off by taxpayers during a press conference on Thursday.
“It’s very unfair to have a truck driver have to pay back a loan for someone that got a Ph.D. in gender studies,” DeSantis said. “That’s not fair. That’s not right.”
“But the people that should pay for it, it’s not the American taxpayers, it should be the university should be responsible for that,” he stated. “If they’re producing people, they went deep into debt, and their degree is not worth anything, and they’re not able to make enough money to pay it back, well, then that’s on them.”
It’s unfair to force a truck driver to pay a loan for someone who got a PhD in gender studies.
Taxpayers shouldn’t be footing the bill for student loan relief and Biden’s order isn’t constitutional.

“If they’re producing people who went deep into debt and their degree isn’t worth anything and they’re not able to make enough money to pay it back — then it’s on them,” DeSantis said of the universities.
“He does not have the constitutional authority to do this,” DeSantis said. “He is relying on emergency powers because of COVID. Wait a minute. You got a gender studies degree five years ago and that has something to do with COVID?”
DeSantis recently slammed outgoing NIAID Director and Biden Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci by calling him a “little elf” who ought to be thrown across the Potomac river.
“I’m just sick of seeing him. I know he says he’s gonna retire. Someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac!” DeSantis said in a video that is now going viral.
Fauci will step down from his positions as the Director of the NIAID and Biden’s Chief Medical Advisor in December, just before a potential Republican Congress could investigate him, Valiant News reported this week.

I like this governor, he has done a good job for Florida. He seems to be a man of his word.

My thoughts exactly. DeSantis can go through the Trump “apprenticeship” program first as VP. I do like that DeSantis actually gets angry about things the leftists do, so that’s something Trump can learn from him.

Just to be clear, there is no plan to eliminate student debt. There IS a plan to transfer that debt to those who do not owe it. THIS is what Biden voters said they wanted. Votes no matter how they are obtained have consequences, this is one of them. It’s amazing what Americans will tolerate.
Sadly, loan defaulters are so giddy about Biden promising to erase $10K, they do not consider that the IRS will classify it as income, and their taxes will also go up to pay for it. But they are encouraged by the woman from the Dept of Education. In a national interview, she said the relief is needed for people who got loans but did not complete a degree, and also for people who got “worthless degrees.” Yep, who woulda thought a degree in Medieval French Transgender Literature wasn’t gonna guarantee a six figure salary?
