Meanwhile, DailyMail reports that Jr. says his dad is fine:
Donald Trump Jr. has said his father is in ‘great spirits’ in hospital and is under observation.
He added that his father is ‘never gonna stop’…
The 78-year-old former president’s four other children — Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany and Barron — have yet to publicly comment on the incident.
Trump Jr. also issued a statement shortly after tweeting, saying, “I just spoke to my father on the phone and he is in great spirits. He will never stop fighting to save America, no matter what the radical left throws at him.”
Eric posted the same photo, declaring, “This is the fighter America needs!”

At the same time, Dr. Gina Loudon, a longtime family friend, described the survival of the former and potential future president as “a miracle.”
“I’m so thankful that President Trump is OK. I see it as a miracle,” said Loudon, who had been at his recent Florida rally with members of the 78-year-old’s family.
“When you watch what happened, you see that he seems to have turned his head at the exact moment he was shot. It was like he missed being seriously injured by millimeters. I know newspapers don’t usually like to report on faith but I think this was a miracle.”
She also described Trump’s demeanor after the terrifying assassination attempt as “quietly defiant and heroic”:
“We were all so worried at first. I heard several shots and I worried there was more injuries to the president. I thought there might be more blood we couldn’t see.”
Loudon said “it could have been anyone” at the rally, and that attendees must have been scared when the gunfire rang out.
“President’s Trump’s reaction was truly historic. I don’t know that we’ve ever seen anything so quietly defiant and heroic in one moment,” she said.
“He was concerned about everyone else at that moment and showed them he was OK. That’s the Trump I know. It’s how I ignore all the Trump derangement syndrome people.”
