Liz Cheney says she will campaign for Democrats to keep President Trump and Rep. Jim Jordan from gaining power. She has been the main tool of Nancy Pelosi and it resulted in the most embarrassing loss by an incumbent in the history of this country and now she wants revenge.
Cheney also said she would campaign against the popular Kari Lakes. My question is simple. What Democrat would want Chenet campaigning with them?
In swing states such as Arizona, Democrats count on getting at least a small number of Republicans who cross over. In close races, those votes can swing the election.
Having Cheney campaign for you is a surefire way of losing those all-important votes. Cheney suffers from delusions of grandeur that are totally unwarranted.
She was buried in the primary against Harriet Hageman by nearly 38 points. Yet, she would have you believe her endorsement is a plus and that she could be a serious contender in 2024.
“It’s a tough question. I think that the policies of the Biden administration, there are a lot of bad policies, for example – what we’re seeing now with inflation, what we’re seeing with respect to government spending.”
“I think it’s really important though, as voters are going to vote, that they recognize and understand what the Republican Conference consists of in the House of Representatives today, and how much power the election deniers, the people like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert and Jim Jordan, how much power those people will have in a Republican majority.”
“I’m going to make sure Donald Trump, I’m going to do everything I can to make sure he is not the nominee, and if he is the nominee, I won’t be a Republican.”
What Cheney is saying is that if Trump is the 2024 GOP nominee is that she won’t switch parties and become a Republican. Gee, we’re gonna miss the hell out of her. The truth is that she is the most unpopular Republican in the country and many of them hope she goes hunting with her dad.
Her comments came days after the House passed Cheney’s Presidential Election Reform Act, which would amend the Electoral Count Act of 1887 to make clear that the vice president only plays a ministerial role in certifying electoral college votes.
The bill was in response to Trump’s failed attempt to convince then-Vice President Mike Pence to challenge the electoral vote count on Jan. 6, 2021.
Cheney declined to elaborate on what she plans to do once her time in Congress is up, including whether she’ll mount a presidential bid in 2024, but did say her attention will shift to keeping Trump out of the White House.
She voted for impeachment and joined the J6 committee where she edited testimony from witnesses to misinterpret what they said and on top of that, she suborned perjury from Cassidy Hutchinson on the handwritten note that she already knew someone else wrote. Gee, why isn’t she more popular?
