Netflix has reportedly removed a tag designating their new Jeffrey Dahmer docuseries as “LGBTQ” following Internet outrage largely isolated to Twitter.
Members of the LGBT community were furious and upset on Monday after many of them discovered that Netflix tagged its new docuseries on homosexual, cannibal, and serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer under its “LGBTQ” category.
Apparently, the backlash from the LGBTQ community was too much to bear for Netflix, despite the series featuring multiple scenes in gay dance clubs, bathhouses, and including multiple homosexual romantic relationships, and despite Dahmer himself preying on homosexual men.

The show, titled “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” premiered last weekend.
Featuring actor Evan Peters playing Dahmer, a convicted pedophile, cannibal, serial killer, and documented homosexual who took the lives of 17 men and boys between the years of 1978 and 1991, the series had already received criticism after some said it humanized Dahmer.
Members of the LGBTQ community previously expressed their grievances with the streaming giant for categorizing a series about a man who murders gay men and eats them as “LGBTQ.”
“Why the f**k Netflix made the decision to tag the Jeffrey Dahmer documentary LGBTQ? Like I know it’s technically true but this is not the representation we’re looking for,” said Tik Tok user LiztheLezbo, in a video that would ultimately prompt swaths of LGBTQ liberals to condemn Netflix over the series.
“@netflix you’re representation for the LGBTQ community is starting to be disgusting considering you cancel all the lesbian shows. But adding #lgbtq to Dahmer is way too far. Seriously considering cancelling my subscription when you dont represent my lesbian people,” tweeted user Kathryn Crowley.
Some critics even resorted to all caps rage, claiming the situation reduced them to hysterical laughter.

Netflix apparently did not return requests for comment after the outrage or prior to striking the “LGBTQ” tag from the new series.
