A newly uncovered email proves that Fauci was very aware of the fact that the Wuhan lab, he helped fund was conducting gain-of-function experiments on bat viruses. The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released an email from Fauci dated Feb. 1, 2020 that he sent to Robert Kadlec (then assistant secretary of Health and Human Services), Lawrence Kerr (then director of the Office of Pandemics and Emerging Threats within the HHS), Brian Harrison (HHS chief of staff), and Garrett Grigsby (then director of Office of Global Affairs Department of the HHS).
Fauci told them of a meeting he had with Jeremy Farrar – the director of the Wellcome Trust and with then-National Institutes of Health director Dr. Francis Collins.
Fauci said the scientists were:
“Concerned about the fact that upon viewing the sequences of several isolates of the nCoV, there were mutations in the virus that would be most unusual to have evolved naturally in the bats and that there was a suspicion that this mutation was intentionally inserted.”
“The suspicion was heightened by the fact that scientists in Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain-of-function experiments to determine the molecular mechanisms associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection, and the outbreak originated in Wuhan.”
“Upon considerable discussion, some of the scientists felt more strongly about this possibility, but two others felt differently. They felt that it was entirely conceivable that this could have evolved naturally even though these mutations have never been seen in a bat virus before.”
“The reasons for each side of the argument are too complicated to bother you with.”
“They pass no judgment at all at this point and feel that the group’s mandate should be: ‘What are the evolutionary origins of 2019-nCov, important for future risk assessment and understanding of animal/human coronaviruses.'”
The former chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden concluded that a large “internationally credible organization,” especially the World Health Organization, should investigate the Wuhan lab-leak theory. Fauci said Farrar and Collins would contact Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the WHO.
Fauci claimed, “In this way, there is no assumption of foul play or guilt on anyone’s part and merely an intense scientific look at the evolutionary origins of this virus. Where that leads remains to be seen.”

Paul has clashed often with Fauci about NIH-funded gain-of-function experiments conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
During a Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions regarding the pandemic response in May 2021, Fauci responded to questioning by the Republican senator from Kentucky, “Sen. Paul, with all due respect, you are entirely, entirely and completely incorrect. The NIH has not ever, and does not now, fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute.”
During a July 2021 Senate Health Committee hearing on the federal government’s COVID-19 response, Paul challenged Fauci, “Dr. Fauci, as you are aware, it is a crime to lie to Congress. On your last trip to our committee on May 11, you stated that the NIH ‘has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.'”
Paul mentioned the relationship between Dr. Shi, a bat coronavirus expert from the Wuhan lab, and the EcoHealth Alliance that had received funding from the National Institutes of Health.

Thank you for all the in-depth reporting. Even with all the excellent reporting you and some others complete, all we are doing is getting nowhere. The laws and politicians do nothing but spin their wheels in the same direction of nothing accomplished. Also, it takes too long for a case to reach a court, especially the Supreme Court, and by then, too much harm that is also not reparable has been done to whoever ever, rather it be a person or a group (such a nation as a whole).
There is plenty of discussion on these severe and criminal actions individuals such as Faucy, Gates, F.B.I., C.I.A., etc. do, but nothing is done except a whole lot of talking. The ordinary citizen gets nowhere except to keep paying more taxes and losing ground in helping their families. The politicians know they have nothing to fear, so the same criminal actions keep repeating themselves because there is no incentive for them to stop. Oh, maybe a verbal spanking and embarrassment now and then, but they still go home with their retirement intact, all their other assets intact, no prison time, keep their jobs, keep their job perks for themselves and family members. Goodness, they know Biden and his family members’ corrupt dealings, and all they do is talk everything to death in the end; what will occur is Biden will not be impeached and will keep his retirement and perks as being a President, and on top of that, his family members keep receiving security to guard them the rest of their lives. The United States is sunk because those that can stop the corruption will not, and the American taxpayer keeps losing out.

Sorry to burst Mr. Fauci’s attempt at “hubris” but Scripps Laboratory in San Diego , Ca was on top of this COVID-19 unfolding story back in October 2019. See, passengers arriving at Los Angeles International Airport were displaying symptoms of respiratory distress and related maladies. A few “swabs” were taken and sent to Scripps Laboratory – Dr. Anderson for examination…here’s his deposition on March 2020: “… The conference call and the paper have become fodder for conspiracy theories claiming that Fauci and Collins pressured scientists to abandon the “lab leak” theory in favor of the natural origins hypothesis.
Dr. Kristian Andersen, who studies the genetics of infectious diseases at the Scripps Research Institute, testified Tuesday that in the early days of the pandemic, he first thought the virus that causes Covid-19 had genomic features that might have pointed to laboratory manipulation.
“My initial hypothesis was that SARS-CoV-2 was likely an engineered virus,” Andersen told the committee. “This was based on limited data and preliminary analyses where I had observed features that appeared to be unique.” (end of deposition).
There is an email (now destroyed) in which Dr. Fauci asked Dr. Anderson to instead tell the world Viral scientists it was “mistakenly Anderson’s first impression.” But in Dr. Fauci’s email was a “grant of $2 million dollars” for his further researching efforts to determine “the real origins” of SARS-CoV-2. There have been several virologist that have been very vocal over the fact that the Covid virus had to have been manufactured. There was no way it would have happened naturally. China unleashed this disaster on the whole world, including themselves and should be held accountable. However they have placed themselves in an economic position that the world apparently depends on,…and that must be broken.
The days of federal government are over and have been for sometime. It’s not about representing the public or state. It’s about using government, taxes collected, the people and states to enrich yourself.
I don’t know how to fix it.
