Far-Left Gov. Kathy Hochul claims that it is a conspiracy theory that crime is on the rise in New York state. She’s right. It was just a vicious rumor started by 2 1/2 million victims. In New York City alone crime is going through the roof.
Here are the latest stats for NYC:
Overall index crime in New York City increased in July 2022, by 30.5% compared with July 2021 (11,619 v. 8,906). Six of the seven major index-crime categories saw increases, driven by a 40.6% increase in grand larceny (4,588 v. 3,262), a 37.2% increase in robbery (1,730 v. 1,261), and a 25.6% rise in burglary (1,325 v. 1,055).
Police Commissioner Keechant L. Sewell said:
“We know that any crime increase in our city is wholly unacceptable. Everyone who lives, works, and visits here deserves to be safe, and the members of the NYPD will tolerate nothing less – but we cannot do it alone. When violent criminals are willing to carry illegal guns on our streets and brazenly shoot at innocent people, they must face real consequences. And when rampant, revolving-door recidivism erodes the public’s trust in the criminal justice system, we must make efforts to refocus that system on what matters most: the victims. All of us need to be pulling in the same direction, so that we can best deliver on the public-safety promise we make to every New Yorker, every day.”
During the debate last week, Lee Zelden pointed out that Hochul is soft on crime and on criminals. Hochul replied, “I don’t know why that’s so important to you.” She is oblivious. That is because she lives in the governor’s mansion with tons of security. She doesn’t ride the subway. She doesn’t take the bus. She doesn’t have to go to the gas station or the grocery store. She has no idea what working-class New Yorkers are going through. It’s a jungle out there. If Zelden beats the odds and wins it will be over crime and inflation.
Al Sharpton said:
“It is amazing to me that these Republican candidates like Zeldin and like [U.S. Senate candidate in Pennsylvania] Dr. [Mehmet] Oz is all about crime, but don’t wanna do anything about guns, which is the real tool of criminals. And they act like you and others are soft on crime when in fact I don’t think anyone has been stronger in many states”
At one point in the interview, Hochul told Sharpton that Republicans “are master manipulators. They have this conspiracy going all across America trying to convince people that in Democratic states they’re not as safe. Well, guess what. They’re also not only election deniers, they’re data deniers,” according to video from the New York Post.
She also said that “shootings and murders are down in our state by 15 percent, even in New York City; down 20 percent on Long Island, where Lee Zeldin comes from … and it’s the Republican states where they have almost no restrictions on guns. Because of the abundance of guns, people are killing each other with more frequency. The safer places are the Democratic states.”
Mediaite, citing police statistics, said murders were down by 14% in New York City compared to 2021, but all other major crimes were up — including a 33% rise in robberies. A recent Quinnipiac poll found crime is the most important issue to New York voters.
There is a price to pay if you vote for Hochul. You will have to live under her thumb for four more years.

“Data deniers”, huh??? That’s pretty rich coming from an unaccomplished politician who, when asked if she had statistics that legal gun owners were a cause of crime, replied that she “Didn’t need any data.” As an inmate of the once great State of New York, I can say unequivocally that this failure of epic proportions needs to be escorted to the Capitol exit.

Every major city in the US has a crime problem beyond proportions. Every major city in the US is under complete democratic control. Do you see the correlation between the 2? In Hochul’s words referring to Republican conspiracy that “Democrat run States are not as safe”, denying an obvious truth is eye opening. Not only blue States are just that, but dangerous and crime infested. I live in New York State, and New York City is even a lot worse. Not everyone has the kind of State police protection as she does. Life in leftist bubble must be good and safe.
