Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky told Fox News host Tucker Carlson Friday that Kevin McCarthy will be appointing him to the Church Commission that is charged with investigating the Biden regime and their efforts to ban conservative voices.
He says that he will make sure criminal acts by the government will be released to the public and recommended to the DOJ.
But, what are the chances that Merrick Garland will prosecute no matter how much evidence is presented to him?
Massie told Carlson:
“A lot of this is going to play out down in the SCIF [Secure Compartmented Information Facility]. You are going to have to trust the people that are put on this committee, and I’ll tell you what, if there’s something fishy going on, I’ll come out of the SCIF and tell you, but a lot of it will be behind closed doors, it will be classified information. If we find anything illegal or unconstitutional, we will bring it forward.”
Kevin McCarthy has been voted in as Speaker of the House, so the Democrats will probably maintain control of the House. Let’s see if they can kill a lot of the planned investigations. Kevin McCarthy is not known for his backbone and the concessions he made have to be voted on I would not be surprised if they are defeated. I would be surprised if they pass.
The commission will start out with proof that the government was colluding with Twitter and other platforms to censor conservatives, thanks to Elon Musk and the release of the Twitter Files. They had weekly meetings b before the 2020 election. In a poll taken after the election, Biden voters were asked if they would have voted for Biden if they knew what was on the laptop. 17% said no.
Massie said:
“I will say that while we’ve seen this drama on the house floor, behind the scenes along with those people who withheld their vote for Kevin McCarthy until they got the transformational changes in the House, the way the House works, we were working with them to make sure this Church Committee, a suggestion you’ve had, and thank you for suggesting that I should be on it, I don’t know if you are clairvoyant or just made the future happened, but it’s happening.”
“We were making sure this committee wasn’t going to be fenced in, that it wasn’t going to be a show committee. We wanted to make sure we have full jurisdiction. If we stumble on something at another three-letter agency that they don’t say, ‘Whoa, that’s out of your jurisdiction,’ or if we find out there’s more than a violation of the First Amendment — if there are other civil rights being violated, we have secured a guarantee that we can go wherever the evidence leads us.”
Documents provided to Michael Shellenberger revealed the FBI contacted Twitter about potential leaks regarding Hunter Biden prior to The New York Post reporting on the contents of a laptop abandoned by Biden at a computer repair shop. Twitter locked The New York Post out of its account prior to the 2020 presidential election, which Joe Biden won by slim margins in Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin.

I fear our country is lost. Our govt only can work with intelligent and informed citizens. A large percentage of our population are so wrapped up in themselves they have no clue beyond that and only become interested in politics around election time when The media is in overdrive reporting false narratives on true patriots wishing to support our Constitution. McCarthy has made promises he knows he will not honor. The first promise he breaks will be the end of his term as Speaker of the House.
And thankfully, the 20 rebels got that included in the concessions.

Investigations only matter when illegal behavior is prosecuted and punished. If the investigations only result in fodder for the Hannity and Ingraham shows, they go nowhere. Somehow, the very crooked left-wing media has to report on these investigations and force the very biased Merritt Garland to do his job. I have hope. I pray. Unfortunately, my confidence in the Republicans to actually get this done is at a very low level. We all know that there is election fraud, we see the invasion on the southern border, we feel the personal costs of inflation, we are embarrassed by the constant gaffs of our president and vice president, but 1/2 the country plus 1 still votes these people back in office.
