Biden-Harris Administration Offers Plea Deal to 9/11 Mastermind, Rules Out Death Penalty

The Biden-Harris administration has recently come to a plea deal agreement with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), the alleged mastermind behind the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, along with several other accused plotters who have been held at Guantanamo Bay.

This agreement stipulates that none of the accused plotters, including KSM, will face the death penalty for their involvement in orchestrating the deadliest terrorist attack in American history.

A spokesperson from the Office of Military Commissions (OMC) announced on Wednesday that “The Convening Authority for Military Commissions has entered into pretrial agreements with Khalid Shaikh Mohammad, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi, three of the co-accused in the 9/11 case.”

This development comes as a surprise to many, including family members of 9/11 victims who were informed by the OMC that the accused terrorists will not be subjected to capital punishment.

KSM and his co-plotters have been detained at Guantanamo Bay, where they are facing charges related to providing training, financial support, and other forms of assistance to the al-Qaeda terrorists responsible for carrying out the devastating attacks.

The tragic events of September 11 resulted in nearly 3,000 fatalities as al-Qaeda operatives hijacked four U.S. airliners.

Two of these planes were flown into New York City’s World Trade Center buildings, while a third crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C., which houses the U.S. Department of Defense.
